| A: | All players who are first time players to Frisco Soccer must present an official birth certificate to complete the registration. Players who have not participated in the program in 3 or more years are required to present an official birth certificate. FSA does NOT accept hospital records of birth. We do accept government issued birth certificates and passports only! Team placement will be delayed until the players record of birth is on file. If the record is not on file timely, a spot will not be held for the player.
A release is required if the player does not reside within the FSA boundaries.
If there is an date of birth conflict in FSA's records a birth certificate, if requested, must be submitted to FSA to complete the players registration.

| Q: | What age group (playing division) does my child fall in? |
| A: | See the age pure chart (under documents) to determine the age division into which your child will be placed? Players are placed into divisions, usually by default, according to the players date of birth as listed on the players registration. Players may make a special request to play up into the next age division or to play outside of the default age group. Final consideration is made by Frisco Soccer. See other FAQ's for more information about playing outside of an age group.

| Q: |
What requests are accepted?
|
| A: |
FSA does not consider request for other players, teams or coaches in the U7 and older age groups.
All special requests must be specifically made at the time of registration. FSA makes an effort to honor a special request as allowed, BUT THEY ARE NOT GUARANTEED! Any other request will not be considered.
Some requests that are considered:
Players who sat out and skipped no more than 1 season (Non Consecutive Players) may request to return to the most recent previous team.
Players may request to play up to the next age division.
Players may request to play with a sibling.
Players may request to play with a friend - (THIS REQUEST IS FOR NEW PLAYERS IN THE U6 AND UNDER DIVISION ONLY)
Players may make a request to play down. This is allowed in very limited circumstances. Players must have a recent note from a doctor and a written request from the parents. If FSA approves the request, it must be sent to the state association for approval. Register early and allow 30 days for approval.

| Q: | What is the 'Players Status" (Returning players, new players, previous players, etc)?
|
| A: | Returning Players - Players who played the previous season and are returning to the same team or requesting a new team.
New Players - Players who are first time players with Frisco Soccer. Birth Certificate is required to complete registration.
Previous Players - Players who have played previously with FSA who have skipped more than 1 season. No birth certificate is needed. If a player has sat out more than 3 years or 6 soccer seasons a birth certificate may be required.

| Q: | My child skipped a season, can he return to his previous team?
|
| A: |
A player who skips no more than 1 season, may make a request to return to the same team. That player is considered a non consecutive player if the FSA records indicate that the player:
a) skipped no more than 1 season
b) was on the same team he/she is requesting to return. If the player is found not to be a non consecutive player, the player will then be placed into the player pool in his/her age group.

| Q: |
How are teams formed?
|
| A: | Returning teams are formed by first placing players back to their previous team as requested. Players who want a new team are placed into the player pool to be drafted to a new team.Non consecutive players are placed into the player pool until a determination is made that there is room available (roster size for all teams in the division is considered before a decision is made to return the non consecutive player as requested) on their previous team. All players who are new are placed into the player pool.A count is taken of all players and the number of teams. If there are not enough teams to accommodate all of the players then a new coach is sought out a new team is formed. If there are more teams (with coaches) and not enough players, then the team with the least amount of returning players is disbanded.Players are placed onto teams randomly. The only considerations are special requests and a players location. The players neighborhood school is used for location purposes only. The location of the coaches neighborhood school is used as the area for the team. It does not mean that the team practices in that area or that all of the players are from the same area. There are many other location variables. Keep in mind that when the teams are older there are fewer teams and fewer options.FSA does not guarantee that a player will be drawn to a team that is the closes to his home.
|
| |
| Q: | When are teams disbanded? |
| A: | All teams are held over from season to season until a determination is made as to if there are enough players to fill the team. If there are not enough players to fill all of the teams, then team with the least amount of players will be disbanded first. An exception may be made if the team does not have a coach. Players will not be notified if a team is disbanded. The players from the disbanded teams will be placed into the player pool and will be drawn to another team. Only the coach (if there is one) will be notified of team disbandment. |
