TAAF Winter Games

 The Winter Games of Texas is a sports festival created for Texas amateur athletes taking place in Frisco on January 15-17, 2010.  Patterned after the Olympic Games and the U.S. Olympic Sports Festivals, the Winter Games of Texas provide a forum for training and competition among Texas’ hopefuls and recreational athletes.  These Olympic-style competition provide athletes of all ages and skill levels with a wholesome avenue through sports and physical activity.
FSA in partnership with TAAF Winter Games organizes the Soccer part of Winter Games!

 CELEBRATION OF ATHLETES: 2010 Dates TBA
Join us for an exciting evening on Saturday Jan 16 for the Celebration of Athletes. Enjoy tons of family fun with games, live entertainment, past Olympic heroes and an indoor aquatic center featuring a giant water slide. All activities will be hosted at the Frisco Athletic Center located at 5828 Nancy Jane Lane in Frisco on Saturday Jan 16  from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Admission to the Frisco Athletic Center and indoor aquatic center will be free during the Celebration to all athletes participating in the Winter Games of Texas. More information will be available online beginning December 1, 2009 at
www.taaf.com.

Awards:  Winter Games medals will be awarded individually to 1st, 2nd. 

TYPES OF TEAMS ACCEPTED:

Academy Teams* U9 and U10     Fee:    $325  
   Playing Format 9v9 (including a keeper)
   No guest players (after the roster has been validated by a home association)

  
*Recreational teams can form as an Academy teams to be eligible to participate in this tournament...
     Players must be at least an age pure U9 player to participate...no exceptions.

       Call the FSA Office, 972-712-4625, to get more information on how form as an Academy team.


Recreational Teams U11 - U14   Fee:    $325
   Playing Format:  11v11
   3 Guest players


Competitive Teams U11 - U14    Fee:    $425
   Playing Format:  11v11
   5 Guest players

GENERAL FORMS TO DOWNLOAD:

TAAF Roster:  Must be signed by parents.
  **NOTE regarding S.M.A.R.T Certification.  The SMART certification is acknowledgement that parents have read and understand page two of the TAAF document. Just put the date in that box.

Academy Tournament Roster (This form must be validated by an NTSSA Home Association Registrar)

 Medical Releases  (does not need to be notorized)
    We will accept the medical releases on the Academy form.

Guest Player Forms (U11 and older Rec and Comp)
   This form REQUIRES a registration number.  Forms with out registration numbers will not be accepted.

REQUIRED FOR CHECK IN

Coaches ID Cards

   Copy or actual card required. 

TAAF Roster:  1 copy
   Must be signed by Parents

Team roster:  3 copies
   Academy Rosters MUST be verified by an NTSSA affiliate Registrar, otherwise not accepted
   Recreational Rosters must be signed by the coach and home association registrar.
   Competitive Rosters must be official rosters signed by coach and home association registrar.

Game Day Rosters/Misconduct Report (see link above)
   5 copies (again no copier available....bring all 5 copies)

Medical Release for each Player
    Do not need to be notorized.
    Medical Releases on Academy Forms are acceptable.

Guest Player Forms (if applicable)
    Academy - No guest players
    Recreational - 3 guest players allowed. Home Association must sign.
    Competitive - 5 Guest players allowed. Registration numbers MUST be on form.


Teams must be fully checked in 1 hour prior to game time.  Allow time for waiting.
